before hiring? Pregnancy is a big deal, and a potential employer should know whether the woman intends to get pregnant and take time off.

I think with contracts like this available, women would find more opportunity for themselves in executive positions.

Pretty sure that's a discriminatory no-no.

You seem too stupid to be in a position to issue said contract.

Good God, no!

And if not, why not?

Federal labor laws.

Be prepared to pay if you ask, or expect answers to this question. It is, quite literally, one of the easiest ways to get your arse sued right off.

Yeah, you can't do that, unless you are interested in participating in a lawsuit.

Pretty sure that is covered by sex discrimination unless there are extenuating circumstances.

Female athletes or models can get away with language stating that they have to stay in the same physical condition, which includes not being pregnant, but probably not executives or anyone else whose ability to do their jobs is marginally affected by getting pregnant as opposed to taking time off after giving birth.

The series of questions that they ask trying to bait you into freely talking about topics they can't ask are annoying as hell.

that's a good reason why many of them don't, they get knocked up, squirt out the kid, take more time off to get said kid into pre-school, come back to work(maybe,) and then bitch about why they haven't advanced in the job place, and then of course cry discrimination

1) are you married?
2) how old are you? (What year did you graduate high school? if that one is too obvious)
3) do y'all have kids?

If you can't get a general idea whether a potential hire is trying to get preg, then you shouldn't be in a position to make decisions.

You serious?

Why is it illegal? Because it's discrimination and pregnancy discrimination is not legal.

Federal labor laws and the ADA would probably make it unenforceable, but I see your point. If a woman contractually agrees to not get pregnant, that is sufficient legal consideration imo, as the woman would be giving something up to which she had no legal obligation.

You are an idiot . Not every woman fits inside of your stereotypes.

Just because a woman is in her late 20s 30s, not married and doesn't have kids, doesn't mean she's trying to get pregnant. She may never want to have kids.

Unenforceable? It would be illegal, and immediately entered as evidence for the employee.

The premise is ridiculous, honestly, especially if you invest more than three brain cells into the idea.

I'm with you. We need to do everything possible to discourage producers from having babies.
