Okay, let me start off by saying that I spent most of my life in central and north LA. I always heard about NO, but mostly that was about its attractions and historical culture.

New Orleans overall seems like a beautiful city to me, but I never understood the MASSIVE appeal people have to go to it over other cities.

The number of incidents that happen per year in NO is quite staggering. Do the police lack supplies or manpower? Is there enough drug and sex education available in poverty stricken areas? Perhaps a food bank or other provisional system is needed for those in dire straights of poverty. Crime is mostly a symptom of poverty and strife is a repercussion of lack of opportunity.

FIFY

I just assumed you misspelled Southern considering it's all you've ever posted about.

THE CITY IS FALLING A PART AND TURNING TO CRAP!!

All the citizens I know that live there say it.
It's getting worse. The quality of life and standard of living is declining rapidly.

Thats fair. Do you think that something can ever be done to reduce it.

I am no politician or lawyer, but I believe that a more efficient system could be used for the city.

There will always be the poor, but not all cities are in such terrible condition.
