I'm talking the lack of style and uniqueness. The type of things that make you proud for it to be uniquely yours.
I don't think cars were that unique looking amongst their peers back then. A 1957 Chevy Belaire looks an awful lot like the same year's Ford Fairlane. The 1960s Lincolns and Cadillacs look very similar too.

Unless you were rather wealthy, pre 1950s, most houses still looked the same in a given area. Look at all the shotgun houses in NOLA, the row houses of the Northeast, neighborhoods in Queens, etc.

Tecmo Bowl was the pinnacle of video gaming. It's been steadily downhill ever since.

I played more hours of Tecmo bowl than everything except 93 Madden, but today's games like madden are vastly superior.

Alcohol choices are incredible now. When I was in high school, you had like Smirnoff, Absolut, Mohawk, Popov, or Stoli for vodka. Now, there must be 20-30 vodkas in every store. Same for tequilas/whiskeys. Microbreweries and microdistilleries are almost overkill at this point. None of this is a bad thing.
