Do you wear heels

Rarely. I'm kind of klutzy and tend to fall alot. I'm only 5'5". The heels I wear are usually of the wedge variety because, well, see previous comment.

I love heels & would wear them every day if I were 4" shorter. I'm way taller than my boyfriend, so I don't wear them much anymore

gotcha... yeah, it's not that she hates heels, just doesn't like feeling so "tall." even though i'm still above her wearing her tallest pair.

It's not that she feels so "tall", as you put it. It's that she feels more alpha than you even though she's still shorter than you. She just says "tall so she doesn't hurt your feelings.

My 6'1" HS daughter occasionally wears heels when she has to dress up. Most of the time they are 2" with the occasional 4". If we go out to eat after the event every head turns and all activity in the restaurant ceases when we walk in.

She is also a STEM kid and does not crave attention.

I am 5'0 and wear 6" heels daily and have never said a guy is too short. Maybe they don't like you, are shallow, they suck, you suck, etc. It isn't the height.

man, how do you deal with that as a parent? is she uncomfortable about her height? cause if we have a daughter, she'll probably be in the same boat.

My parents were 5'6 & 5'8. They always acted like my height was super awesome, so I never really wished I were shorter. Like his daughter, I don't enjoy being the center of attention, but I've learned to deal with the daily "how tall are you? Did you play basketball?" questions from strangers with grace.

thanks ELT

as a guy i don't think about the looks and comments, but for some reason american culture equates height with masculinity. i guess cause our avg height is so short.

btw... do you have tall grandparents or something?

Not me.

Only reason I don't wear heels as much now....is it makes my feet fricking hurt too much. I never cared if wearing heels made me taller than my SO. That's just silliness.
