for some reason american culture equates height with masculinity

I get that. I still look very female, so the attention that comes with my height is overwhelmingly positive.

My grandparents were average height. No clue where I got it from. I look too much like my dad's people to question my paternity :) Ancestry.com says I'm like 20% Norwegian, so it's in there somewhere.

Noooo. I'm all about loving any height. I've never liked putting something down to try to make myself feel superior. That just sounds insecure.

It's true! Unless the bitch can't spell. Then I definitely feel superior.

High heels just keep their knuckles from scraping the ground.

man, how do you deal with that as a parent?

We knew early that she was, and was going to be, taller than most others. We instilled in her that it was cool every time we put the new measurement mark (With date) on the doorframe. We did this without making too big a deal out of it. It was never a contest.

We also stressed academic achievement and love of knowledge for the sake of knowledge. This led her to having friends that were more concerned with AP calculus than her height. There is a pack of them that are similar and she is the 2017 valedictorian.

We also let her know, as she became more self-aware of the height thing, that she should never worry about uncontrollable things.

For your future child, understand that having almost a 4.6 GPA does not get a full ride to a good engineering school. A volleyball scholarship will. Mine chose academics over sports and modeling. I could not fault her for choosing academics.

Good luck.

My phone was all the way dimmed, and I was actually shocked you would post that before I realized it was a joke. I have never RAd anything before now. Ya got me!

And hey why the downvotes... I admitted it and apologized! At first glance on a dim phone that really looks like a naked squatting tw*t.
