And why do they constantly let their chihuahuas run around in the middle of the street.

Love pictures of my redneck family (cousins daughter) with her 2/4 year old kids hugging their pitbull.

Mine loves kids. They're very tender.

Really, kids enthusiastic and affectionate. Though I am always cautious when mine is around a kid. Not because I'm afraid she'll attack a kid. But they're like a bull in a China shop. They're built like a tank, which makes it very easy for them to knock a kid over and hurt them.

But each dog and owner is different. Your family may be white yeah that wanted a tough looking dog. And those people piss me off more than people who hate pitbulls indiscriminately.

It pains me to like your posts so much considering your handle and Alabama affiliation

Lol. Nobody's perfect.

I am glad my family didn't really give me a choice. But luckily, they also raised me to think critically and live by the Golden rule

Turning a pit into an aggressive guard dog (usually by keeping them chained outside and poor socialization), really just turns them into a loose cannon, and randomly attack.

This. It's not about the breed so much as environment, socialization and how they are treated. Dogs, especially pit bulls, are social and pack oriented. You can't chain them to a tree in your back yard 16 hours at a time. That is neglect and you have no business owning a any dog.

I'm middle class, no tats or piercings, no lift kit on my truck, and have a college degree.

I also have a mutt that is primarily pit bull.

He was a stray pup that would hang around where I worked. I fed him on gave him some attention on my breaks. Nobody claimed him, so I took him to a vet, got him his shots, and he is now fixed. Plus, he probably dissuaded people from even thinking of wandering onto my property and backyard...you know, those that have no business being there.

With that said, I'm 100% sure I am a better human being than the fine posters who are whining about pit bull owners on the first couple of pages.

Do my eyes deceive me or does Brady's wife deserve a nip alert? I'm seeing nip.

Yep. Though I will say, there are a few breeds that I've never seen be friendly. The one on the top of my head is a Chow. But again, that could be because someone who wants a Chow, might specifically want a natural guard dog. That, or it's someone who doesn't have a clue how to raise and treat a dog, and understand what the dog was originally bred to do. Dogs used to have jobs. The only difference in breeds, is good much work you can expect them to behave in way that fits your lifestyle.
