I think this thread has more than proven my point. Would it make you feel better if my thread was titled "Why are sushi eaters always obnoxiously trying to influence everyone else to eat sushit?"

doesn't seem to mesh with this. I get it if you're not necessarily a fan (I'm not either), but the hyperbole is not doing you any favors.

Only decent thing I think you are implying.

God forbid she wants some decent Japanese food on her birthday. They eat more than sushi. Just get some fried rice, drown it in soy sauce, and stay trashy.

ETA: to include sushimi

Not everyone likes the same stuff. Good sushi is damn good, and needs nothing but a little salt (soy) and heat (wasabi).

Its not my favorite as if I am going to pay that much, I want to leave filled and sushi doesn't do that. But I do enjoy it on the work's dime.

as posted earlier, I like it, but it certainly is not the first thing that comes to mind when I'm starving, got to be in the mood for it, and not real hungry

Because I don't like sushi? So now people who don't like every type of food are ignorant of food? Ohhhh Kaaaay, man.

Because you keep on listing bullshite reasons. You're saying shite as ignorant as "I don't like pizza because I don't like olives or green peppers." You don't have to have (and most rolls don't) fish eggs in your sushi. You're just white trash spouting ignorance.

I guess a reasonable person would just stop throwing money away on something they don't like. But then you wouldn't be able to be condescending on the internet about sushi.

Okay now I'm white trash for not liking sushi. I don't like it because it doesn't taste good to me and I don't like the texture.

At this restaurant all but three of their rolls have fish eggs on them. One that doesn't has salmon in it, which I don't like because I ate too much of when I lived in Alaska.

Good sushi/sashimi is fantastic. Salmon especially, but others as well. If you're fortunate enough to pair it with real wasabe (not the green horsehradish paste) you're in for a treat.

If you eat raw oysters, you should have no problem with sushi. I love both.

If you're insinuating that quality sushi "from all over the world including Japan" is flavorless and boring then you either have a dead palate or completely full of crap. There are many types of flavors in all the fish. I get people not liking it. I don't like blue cheese but I'm not going to deny that people like it or start a thread about it. But I'm also not going to say as fact that blue cheese tastes like vomit. Because that's not a fact. But sushi does have a wide variety of unique flavors in just the fish alone.

Apparently people don't understand how restaurants work these days. I'm also baffled somewhere put roe on a california roll as he said. I've never once had that, and I've had a ton of sushi.

Some of you people are so smug and pretentious you can't even smell your own shite. I just read 11 pages full of assholes telling the OP that no one could possibly be trying to force him to eat sushi, but REAL sushi is SO fricking amazing, it's God's perfect food and if he doesn't like it then he's a fat arse, mouth breathing, redneck, with shitty tastes who likes burnt steak and BLM protests.

Man, you're really getting worked up over this. Did you know sushi is one of the top anti-stress foods? Might want to check it out.
