They can test for some but aren't new recipes coming out weekly in order to stay legal? I think that is part of the problem, people don't realize all fake weed is different and will cause different reactions.

This is not a troll attempt. I also had a different cousin take too many sleeping pills about two weeks ago. Four months before that my grandfather also passed away.

From the time I was a JR in HS till a year or so after college I was practically an everyday smoker. I also quit to get a "real job" and haven't smoked since. It is by no means physically addictive, but I do think it is very habitual and borderline mentally addictive.
When I was in college I did everything from acid and shrooms (which I did quite a bit of and is nowhere near addictive for me) and some ecstasy to coke and even some meth (a lot more coke than meth (which I never shot up though or did very much of it or for any continued period of time)). The hardest "habit" for me to put down was weed. Not that I was physically addicted, just because it had become so habitual and routine in my life.
Now with that said, I pretty confident that if it were ever to become legal within driving distance from me, I could pick it back up and treat it like I do alcohol now and smoke it every once in a while and not become a daily smoker again.
ETA: Heck, I'm even considering taking a trip to the Bud & Breakfast place in Denver for nice relaxing vacation. Although since it has been so long since I've got high, the weed they have there would probably put me in a catatonic state or might induce flashbacks or something.

All synthetic ever did for me was give me panic attacks for the 30 minutes the high lasted. Plus the "high" felt like a dirty high as opposed to the clean high feeling I get with the real stuff.

Was in the corner store back when it was sold here and there was a young couple in front of me buying some synthetic stuff so I asked, "why don't you just smoke the real stuff?" The guys said "I'm on probation and the real stuff will show on the drug screen." Then I asked if it was the same kind of high and was told that it was more intense and sometimes you could get a bad batch that would make you sick or take you on an unsuspecting ride...

in high school, this shite was getting big around where i lived. "spice" or whatever. my friends got into it for a little because it was even easier to get than weed and people were doing it.
