Why do so many women have to say their man is "amazing" and "wonderful"

FB posts like "He is the most amazing man in the world!" Then a year later you find out they were cheating. I guess I'm more in reality. My man is a good guy but he has his flaws like we all do. I never go around saying he is "wonderful!" to people. I just say he is good to me.

Dunno. I do notice that every single Facebook parent's profile picture is of them with their kid(s). Can one not be solo in their profile pic as a parent?

Because the goal is to show everyone your life is better than others.

They're insecure and want others to believe their relationship is as solid as they wish it was.

Amazing replaced awesome about a decade ago. Everything is amazing now.

Because you touch yourself at night.
Do you?
Do you?

Insecurity
I've seen it with female friends from high school and past jobs on FB but when I message them privately they say their relationships and lives are miserable.
They have a pedestal (FB) to display their lives and want everyone to know their lives and relationships at home are "great" when they are not.

Why don't you make a FB post saying "my man is a good guy but he has his flaws!" And be the change you want to see?

I agree with this. I have to show everyone they are shite compare to me.

Because facebook is a fantasy world where people lie their azzes off.

It's just a psychological ploy to make yourself eventually believe...,

It's the female/facebook equivalent of pretending to be an OT baller.

"My husband is so amazing. My kids are so smart and successful. My life is so wonderful. I go on vacation to Orange Beach every summer."
Give me a fricking break bitch.
Your husband is an a-hole who cheats on you. Your kids are fricking tards with no friends and suck at sports. You're almost bankrupt and live check to check. Orange Beach is nothing to brag about. When you spend 10 days in the Greek Isles, post that.

Precisely. I have been with my SO for almost 6 years. None of it on FB. No checking in together, no complaining about each other, no lavishing praise on one another, no contrived photo shoots, none of it. All of it stays in our private lives, where it belongs and where most people would prefer it be kept. The result? A legitimately genuine experience that you can choose or not choose to bring others into at your discretion. In other words, there is zero fake narcissistic BS.

I get your point, but that's a little overstated and callous.

Females using hyperbole to describe everything in their lives?
You don't say.
You don't say.

I wish women would get more sexual in FB. "I love how he flicks my baked bean"
