Spaceman, I think you might be right. I have a daughter who dates nothing but losers and is always saying how wonderful they are. They are wonderful even after they beat her up. I don't get it and have stopped trying to get involved. Decided it's her life and her choice.

Maybe those posts lead to other women chasing their man since he's so 'amazing', which leads to the cheating that you mentioned comes a year later?
It's evident that people want to be liked on social media (esp FB) but they don't realize that some of these type of declarations make them very unlikable. It would be interesting if FB ever had an equivalent of the down vote, might be a shock for many.

A Swiss friend of mine recently pointed out how Americans tend to express themselves in exaggerated fashion, e.g. the expression, "this is the best day of my life."

The more someone post about how great their spouse is, the more problems they have. Its all a cover up.
