Don't wanna have to have such large holes in the practice green.

gonna guess because they don't have to conform to the usga required depth ... less work/shorter flags/etc ...

Not to mention practice holes are a lot smaller than what you find In real action

The time to cut it and put it back is the same. It's the amount of turf I always thought.

Less time to heal. That's a guess.

I don't know. You doing well, baw?

Because it's a practice green. Duh.

I'm not giving in to your real purpose for this thread, which is lame

No, same diameter.

Shallow so you don't have to reach as far into the hole to retrieve balls. That's all.

Why are you trying to put your balls in the hole in the first place? Don't you have a shaft?

You ever changed cups on a nice course?

I didn't think so.

That shite is some work to do it right and they're giving the cup guy a well needed break on the putting green with it's multiple cups.

Not really. Practice green cups, the actual cup, is 4" in depth. Regular putting green cups are 6" in depth..you're talking about having to go down another 2" in depth which takes all of 1 second.

It's actually easier to use the same depth cup all around, unless you have a depth guard. Which would mean having to use 2 different cup cutters. Over time the cup cutter will fade and show you the line where the correct depth is desired.
