Why does anyone spend time worrying how others spend their money. And why do you think you know their intent or how they're acting? I prefer to say none of my business, to each his own.
Whether it be choice of clothes, hobbies, food, choice of living locale, does it really have to be commented on and selected for fault or deemed a result of some psychological condition. Must be a result of being raised in a single parent household by an overly critical mom.

I saw some major sideboob(so close to nips) of a pretty hot chick asking for money at the Elysian Fields exit a few months ago. Didn't look like she was on drugs or anything, but just with some nasty grunge dude.
It got me thinking how a pretty good looking early 20s girl came to be standing on the side of an interstate exit with almost all of her tits out. Was that a personal choice? Good looking people have good looking kids, and typically good looking people aren't broke

I guess I don't try to judge people based on what kind of clothes they like to wear. Especially in a non professional setting.
FWIW they tend to be friendlier than some of the wannabe frat stars I see around NOLA and I'm not some poor black dude living in a bad neighborhood.
I guess every sub group has it's fair share of try hards. But I find that the try hard frat stars are the biggest douches on the planet.

The parents of these young people are to blame. They will vote for the next empty suit that comes in promising the world to them and can't deliver it.
If you're a parent of a hippy, you need your arse kicked every day of the week and twice on Sundays, IMO.
