Sounds like Petsmart. Everything is batshit expensive at Petsmart.

A couple of pieces of foam egg crate and a cover for $80? I mean WTH?
You don't know what you're doing.
Both Marshalls and TJ Maxx practically give dog beds away.

Sellers charge what buyers are willing to pay.
I read an article about a printed dictionary (many years ago). It was priced at $19.99 and not selling well.
A blind test was run and most people thought the dictionary was worth $49.99.
The publisher upped the price and sales increased. As did the profits.
Buyers associate low prices with cheapness, not quality.

Home goods, marshalls or tj maxx

Costco is by far the best I've seen. Having raised a pit puppy, they eat everything in sight. Mine ate a couple from pet smart and tj maxx. The Costco is by far the best price and quality. Look at the bottom. A vast majority are cheap mesh material. Costco is a legit fabric and very heavy duty. Very comfortable as well.

Because people who buy dog beds will pay out the arse for their special precious.

Because people are too stupid to treat a dog like a dog.

Costco, Sams, and even those departments stores like Marshalls and TJMaxx have huge dog beds for under $30. You should not be spending $80 on a dog bed.

I've bought a few decent ones from Walmart for $50. They are not washable though. The expensive ones can be washed.

$10 at Academy on Black Friday 2 years ago ... has been washed several times and this past time it did come apart at one seam .. Stuffed the stuffing back and stitched it up. All good again.

you must be trashy because you let your dogs lay wherever they want.

I bought mine to put in her crate. I have since switched and use it for mat training. It was well worth $25-30. If it were $50, I'd probably just use an old piece of foam.

My dog sleeps in his crate and he sheds all over the dog beds. About once every two months he has an accident or pukes on the bed. So I treat dog beds as disposable items that I toss every 30-60 days. Rite Aid has pretty decent small dog beds for $6.99-9.99 depending on sales. Once Walgreens takes over Rite Aid though, I will probably have to find a new cheap bed source.
