Seems like something that would be useful in the far flung areas of civilization and the developing world. They could probably make it even cheaper without all the styling and such.

The 20 day charge would be great for places without reliable power.

I wish I could do that, but I have to have Internet and email on my phone for work.

How about just using the basic phone like I do. I don't text, don't want to text, don't need to text. Keeps life simple. Always KISS (keep it simple, stupid)

With that kind of thinking, why stop there. True presence is not having a portable phone at all. Lets all go back the big heavy black phone with the rotary dial and the spring cord connected to the wall with a 24" cord.

"Happiness = being present"

I'll have to think about that. I guess in an abstract way, it is true, however the location of presence is very important. For instance, I'm pretty damn happy when I'm present on the golf course or present on my boat with a beer in one hand and a fishing pole in the other. On the other hand, being present in a meeting where on one had the forethought to send out an agenda so that people would be prepared and able to respond with anything more than "I'll check on that" does not make me happy at all.
