Plus, insurance companies in LA cannot send you to a shop for repairs, or force you to get your vehicle repaired at a certain shop.

However, some companies do have shops they use as estimate centers. Shop A will write an estimate and the company will pay off of that estimate. Vehicle owner can choose Shop D, E, R, or Z for repairs.

What kind of coverage do you have? I use USAA and paying $213 a month for two vehicles. 2013 Infiniti JX35 and 2008 silverado. I'm pretty sure thats 100/300/100.

Liberty Mutual
Around $200/month for me and my wife. They also give a discount if you're a member of the LSU Alumni Association.

So the takeaway from this thread is that everyone needs to shop their insurance.

I switched from Allstate to my company's own auto insurance for employees. I have exactly double the coverage and saved $600/yr for three vehicles.

ETA: $374/mo.
All three full coverage 100/300, rental, roadside etc.

Just switched to Geico for $160/month compared to USAA for $300/month.

Geico is the cheapest in my opinion

Their Auto is actually really competitive here in La, H.O. policies they aren't even in the same ballpark as most.

Also FYI, GIECO doesn't cover theft of items inside of the vehicle.

You've had 95% of the people in this thread tell you Geico is above and beyond legit and you still chose the company where you're going to be paying twice as much?

I'm 23 with a couple speeding tickets.

Pay $300 a month on a 14 Tundra for full coverage, if I go down to liability it would drop to $200
