Me.
Had a fricking test today and I had to work until 8. Combine it with living 6 hours away from home and I'm stuck here alone.

I'd give my left nut to stay home alone, cook, get wasted, J.O., and go to bed

Happily checking in

My family is more foreign to me than friends. I wait until family leaves in the late evening then have wine & desert with my grandmother, been doing this since I was 17

I volunteered to work tomorrow. Happy to not be dealing with family all day. I'll slither back in after dark tomorrow night, make a sandwich, and get lost in my Crown and Coke and football.

That actally sounds pretty good.

I'm going spend the day with my family at my parents house then I'm leaving for the camp tomorrow afternoon and will hang there until Sunday with a few guest coming and going all weekend.

I've got work Friday so I didn't make the long trip to my sisters house with the the rest of my family. I'm currently sitting at my fishing/duck camp with my dog and going for a solo duck hunt in the morning, coming back mid morning, cooking an easy lunch, taking a quiet nap, then returning to Baton Rouge tomorrow night. It's glorious.

ME!!!!!!!!!!

no bar hopping this year.

most of my family is gone (passed away) and the ones that are still here live far away.

I wish they didn't though.

I hate the holidays.

It's a good area. Gets a bad rap on the OT a lot but I enjoy it. No denying the winters suck though.

For the people alone, is there a reason you're cooking turkey instead of a big thick tbone or ribeye, besides tradition? I guess I'm just not much of a turkey fan.

I don't get it either. Food now days is so much better than pilgrim food. We have been doing surf and turf for the last 13 thanksgivings, now.

I have a lot of friends who invite me to spend holidays with their families but seeing these big happy families just brings back memories and makes it harder honestly. I usually just enjoy a quiet day at home with the pups, football and some cocktails.

My friend's coming over w/bud & hash oil. We'll roll an oiler or two and take my dog for a nice, long, enormously stoned walk through the Presidio.

Happy Damn Thanksgiving ...
