Just wondering who all decided to make that choice right out of college?

I did because I needed one, it has a lifetime power train warranty and I got a great deal on it.

That being said, I hate buying new cars/trucks.

I upgraded trucks right out of college, because I didn't really trust my old one any more...wasn't fresh off the lot though, as it was a couple of years old and had about 20K miles on it...

I'm 43 and have never bought a new car. It makes bad financial sense.

Got a job, 2 years later bought a new truck, gave my old (still very good low mileage) truck back to my dad since he paid for it.

I didn't buy my first new car on my own (without a co signer) until I was 31. But then, I drove the truck my Dad co signed on for me and a really good used car for damn near 10 years.

There are quite a few years between graduating from college and turning 30

I've bought many new cars, but I think I've bought my last one. 2 years old is the way to go.
