So the airplane is pretty much going to be the death of us. I wouldn't have even let those people come back.

What makes ebola less dangerous than say the bubonic plague is that during that incubation period, the victim isn't contagious. The more dangerous infections like the Spanish Flu, small pox, and bubonic plague are all contagious during the incubation period, which is long enough for people to travel far and infect many other people before even showing the slightest signs or symptoms. Add in the fact that ebola is not airborn and you have an incredibly virulent disease that will never be more than a dangerous regional threat, but logistically cannot be a pandemic unless it were spread on purpose.

I was watching the news this morning and it seems this one is different. Also, this outbreak is different due to the fact a guy was able to stay up and moving long enough to get on a plane and fly into a major airport (I think it was Nigeria). And finally, it's different due to the fact that for the first time there is documentation of someone getting infected who did not come into direct contact with infected person. This woman got sick from disinfecting the bio-hazard suits worn by those who do come in direct contact with infected people.
I'm not worried yet. But this infection is different and more dangerous than past outbreaks.

It's now in Lagos. Let's say some people with bad intentions purposefully infect themselves and board planes. They then proceed to attempt to pass the virus.
After exiting the plane, they go to bus terminals or subways or train stations.

Scabies is miserable...I used to date this chick and her roommate's boyfriend (who had just returned from some Army training) passed it all around the house so I ended up with it too...shite is awful. You think a warm shower will help? Not a shot...those little frickers itch worse

This is no different what so ever. She still came in contact with bodily fluids on the suit and is most likely how she contracted it.

Ebola is only spread by intimate contact...since everyone in the US is glued to their phones and computers instead of interacting with other people I'm sure we'll be fine

As with any story like this, why do people want to I er hype this shite.
If course the news wants to build up the fear aspect, that drives ratings.
