Email them back and say your friend was just trolling. ...and you're testing the leadership at the company to see if they can take a joke. End with saying your previous experience makes you quite capable and the perfect fit for the very quality opportunity.

First of all, you should have re-read the edited email.
Second, isn't it "Marko" not "Marco" Ramius? Should have had someone proofread your username.

1) Don't let someone proofread in your Word doc. Print it out for them to read and mark-up.
