frick State farm and all the blow hards that think they are with some glorious company.
If I were an independent agent, and especially one with Liberty Mutual, I'd be going after State Farm's customers every day, HARD.

PRoblem is 90% of people are scared to cancel their state farm agent policy cause they are such good people have such a great history

Well then you should be saving tons of money with them assuming you have everything bundled

Hard to beat an old bundled State Farm policy

It's all bundled. Everything is cheap except wind and hail.

Homeowners is relatively easy to beat if they aren't tri-bundled

Because you can cream their home but what they lose on the back end by losing discounts doesn't make it worth it for the older policies a lot of time

But I do know a ton of people are pissed about the 5% and are even taking higher premiums to get away from that atrocious deductible

A customer yesterday with a $718,000 house was saying that he thought he'd go with State Farm because he was going to be saving ~$250 a year with them. I asked if he knew what his hurricane deductible would be with them. He said he didn't. I told him,"Well, if you're comfortable with a $35,900 deductible, then by all means --" "wat" "That would be your deductible with them." "What time do y'all close?"

It could be filed both ways. I wouldn't file, either.

why you rolling your eyes at me. It happens all the time with state farm and allstate customers. They shop cause they want to save. I cut their rates by 20-35% sometimes w/ better coverages. When it comes down to it, they don't have the balls to leave their agent and make that phone call.

That doesn't bother me as much as the person who shops with you to get the lowest market price then goes and takes that quote to their insurance bud at another company so he can go match it

I was rolling my eyes at the customers. But Allstate and State Farm are far and away the two best major companies. Shelter is pretty good. Libery Mutual is legit.

The worst is when you curb stomp Geico, the insured calls to cancel with them and Geico is like "TROLOLOLOL LET ME LOWER YOUR RATES REAL QUICK"

I've never had a customer ask them,"Why didn't you just lower them to begin with if that was an option?"

It's over the minimum Chubb requires.

I probably would've have stayed with SF, but their rates weren't even close.

Plus, The Chubb policy was more like agreed value with a straight deductible.

I'm just going off of my personal experience with State Farm. I have made several auto claims, roof and two flood claims. Wind and hail is the only premium to have risen. I'm sure everyone that owns a house in Louisiana has had an increase in their wind and hail over the last few years.
