When is it too cold for you to golf?

I know I'm spoiled here in Florida. There are very few days that happen where it's just too cold to go out and play, but, I was curious what everyone's threshold on playing in the cold is..
My rule of thumb is nothing under 40 degrees. I played in a tournament last year when it was 38 when we began and windy as hell. Naturally, I messed up those first few holes -- everyone did. Just no fun if you have any kind of mishit and your fingertips go numb for the next 4 holes. Not to mention the muscles tensing up and it's just not a very enjoyable round at that point.

Under 50 degrees. I may play when its 45 if the sun is shining and there's no breeze.

As long as I'm properly layered and can keep my hands warm, I'll play in pretty much any temperature.
Once you add in that cold high wind, which is nearly impossible to avoid in my area from December - March, I can't do it.

Doesn't matter the temp for me and the guy I play with (of course we both spent a lot of our early life in New England). It's pretty easy to slap a couple hand warmers in your pocket. Plus, almost no one wants to play when it's cold so a 3 hour round is common.

45 if sunny.
Windy and/or overcast? Nope.

I can play in mid to upper 30's with no hard wind or rain
I had to withdraw from a tourney once in north alabama as a junior because it it was about 38 and raining on and off.
Had a rain and wind suit so my body was not cold but I absolutely could not keep my hands warm or dry, didn't think to bring gloves or hand warmers because I was not expecting rain. If you cannot feel your hands you cannot swing a club
now any time I play this time of year I bring hand warmers and whiskey

When there is so much frost on the ground that you lose white golf balls in the middle of the fairway!

i really enjoy playing in any weather conditions, cold, wind, rain, dont care
just get some cold weather gear and you are good to go. I dont do the gloves on both hands thing though, so my right hand stays in my pocket!

I ask this because I'm contemplating playing in a tournament in Orlando mid-January. But based on my experience last year with a tournament that was blistering cold and windy, and I was layered head to toe, that shite was just too miserable. Maybe I'll wait til the end of January or early February and head further south to play in a tournament. The gamble is obviously not knowing the temperature in advance. With my luck, it'll be similar to last year.

If they let me on the golf course I will play. I walk instead of ride so that helps keep me warm. If it is a hard freeze at night and it doesn't get above ~40 for the day they won't open the course.

Temperatures don't stop me. Rain will.
Playing tomorrow forecast is now low to mid 50's. When we set up our tee time forecast was for mid 30's.

Prob below 50. As long as it's in the 50 and not super windy it's pleasant.

Any temperature between absolute zero and whatever the surface of the sun is.

I play golf. It's too cold to play if a jacket is needed.
