I always run the 4 D's at work. Forget responding to your dumb arse.

I haven't. I've had some of mine ignored, though.
I should have worded it different. I wasn't meaning ignoring just to be a dick, I am referring more to times when there is a legitimate reason. Some times emails do not require a response, sometimes its a priority thing, sometimes it could be something that will be discussed in person, later in the day or whatever.

I delete Carahsoft emails on the daily without looking at them.

Current Work Inbox Status: 861 unread e-mails, don't feel special if I'm ignoring yours :-)

When more than 3 a day were sent and when thread group emails became the norm

We have an office girl that we hired a while back. A few weeks ago we found out she was deleting every email after she had read it/responded to it. She was even deleting all of her sent emails. She got a scolding for that.

You're not carbon copying the right people

People abuse emails. We don't need to know everything that everybody does. "I heard John fart down the hall. I better email everybody".
Just stop.
Just stop.

When e-mail became an acceptable form of communication. It sucks, non-productive, inefficient, too casual, as little value to effectively communicate, time consuming and passive/aggressive.
I have a two e-mail rule - receive e-mail, respond, if unresolved pick up the phone.

a customer will just straight up ignore or delete a work related email
If someone gets hundreds of email everyday, they don't have the time to answer each one individually so that your feelings are not hurt.
You have to read each email because you never know which one may lead to a sale.
Your customers do not have to read each one and answer them.
Why impose your standards on everyone else?
Maybe you are not busy enough!

I'm way less likely to take a call than answer an email.

When I started getting so many damn emails that I can't keep track of what is important and what's not. If you need to communicate with me for real PICK UP THE GOD DAMN PHONE and call me. Tapping out a little email is not getting my attention.

You are in sales. If I get an email from a sales rep, I don't consider it work related. You dummy.

Sales related stuff is auto-ignore. If I want something, I'll call or e-mail you. Don't bug me and waste my time.
