Millennials are a pretty big group. Half of them grew up before smart phones, high speed internet, and social media.

Not that it makes much difference (sitting up for 20 years) but if those were the same vehicles from the first movie, weren't they electric?

ETA: the touring cars were Ford Explorers.
The jeeps were for maintenance...like the one Newman wrecked.

This board is made up of millennials 30 years old that don't know they are millennials, gen x (like fricking provide anything), and parents of millennials

We are gen y. Technically we are millennials, because they fricking gave up on making a new group after 95.

They were all so shitty after that point, it just wasn't worth it.

They are like the voldemort of generations, they who shall not be categorized.

My first truck was a manual 92 Ford Ranger. My Dad's philosophy was that if I wanted to keep driving to school I was going to have to keep it running myself. Most of the guys at my highschool worked on their cars and trucks. Basically, you should stop listening to stereotypes. Not all Millenials are hipsters, just as not all baby boomers were hippies.

ETA: I had a love/hate relationship with that truck. Loved the freedom it provided, hated that my Dad was too cheap to buy me a Z71 like most of my friends had. It worked out though.

So if I pick 10 millenials, you would be willing to bet more than 50% of them could do it.

Yes easily. Are you asking if these 10 millennials already possess the knowledge, or are you asking if they could do it in a reasonable time frame?

I'm talking twittering, hair flipping, SJWing, vaguely bisexual millenials.

A random group of 10 millennials might, but probably wouldn't, have one of these.

Also, you are a millennial. Don't try to church it up.

Serious question...any solid reasoning why I should learn how to drive a stick other than some country/old person bullshite?

I love this board's incessant misuse of the word "millennial"... You'd have a decent point except for your egregious misuse of that word. As others have posted, there are millennials that are in their 30s.

Being a millennial, I bet you could find someone to give you a trophy for that too.

My car has a manual transmission. I can probably drive a manual better than 99% of you old asses because most haven't had a manual vehicle in years.

My son is 18 and drives a 2004 Wrangler with a stick. He has changed the battery, water pump, radiator, crankshaft sensor, stereo and done a brake job on it. I have probably forgot a few other repairs.

PS. He hated driving a stick when he was learning to drive but I made him do it until he got the hang of it. Now he says he always wants a manual transmission in what he drives..
