I applied to TCU yesterday just as go out on a limb kind of thing to see if I would be accepted. I have the GPA and hours but Texas schools are hard to get into I feel. I also applied to 3 other SEC schools, looking forward to going to a big boy university

From Ft Worth and love my hometown. It's a great city that has pretty much everything you'll ever need and is small enough to still feel like a quaint city.

Seriously give it some thought and try to spend some time there. It gets overshadowed by Dallas by a lot of people, but it's truly a one of a kind city.

Better than any campus/area in Louisiana, but without the aura of Mockingbird smu area.

I would for sure be interested in going if I were to be accepted, but I don't know if my dad would be willing to shell out nearly $50,000 a year

Born and raised in Fort Worth. Great city overall. The TCU area is pretty top notch for an urban campus. They spend around a million bucks a year just to keep the roses around the campus beautiful. Transferred from A&M. Sorry Tbird

Not TCU. TCU is a piss-ant, heavily overpriced school. But, I really do like Ft. Worth a lot. It's a very good town (college and post-college).

Also, TCU does a good job in sheltering and holding its student's hand. If you prefer a nurturing and coddling environment (as opposed to a large "figure it out yourself" state university), then TCU may be for you.

TCU is a good school, know many TCU grads. Ft Worth is a cowtown, that may be a plus depending if you are into rodeos and the like.

Fort Worth is a great town. I always think of it like a very large small town. A lot to do there but not as hustle bustle as Dallas and less SMU snobby bitches.
