My first move is an alpha stare that lets everyone know I'm their superior in every way.
The fight sometimes happens anyway, and I give them a second chance to rethink their decision by grabbing the wrist, turning over the arm and manipulating the hand.

I'm 6ft and 250 with no fat so a forearm to the face usually discourages most dumbasses. I'm also 54 and served all of the time I care to spend in jail so I would avoid it if possible.

Front push kick to the knee usually ends a fight if they don't know what they're doing. If they're light on their feet and competent at keeping space then I will usually just focus on my spacing, head movement, footwork, and slipping punches in hopes of avoiding a fight.

From experience, i'm going to try and avoid it.

Same in all 4 fights I have been in..many years ago.
other guy throws first punch, I duck
come back up with straight right to the nose/mouth.
total of 4 broken teeth and 2 broken noses.
