Go to your Congressman's office and ask who works on getting passports for constituents. In our office we get them done in one day for the regular price. Not many people know you can go to your elected member of congress for this help.

My company used PassportsandVisas.com when we were sending people to Canada to work at the last minute. I think I received mine in less than a wekk.

I lost my passport the night before I was supposed to leave for my honeymoon in Greece. I went to the new orleans and had one later that day. Fortunately my original flight was delayed due to weather so I was able to reschedule my flight to the next day for free. Now sure if renewals work the same way but good luck.

Same day in New Orleans. Need an itinerary. I just 2 passports. One is good for 10 years, the other for 2 years and cost me $400.

If you can show you are leaving the country within two weeks... You can get it made in a day

This. I went this week to the New Orleans office to help my aunt renew hers. We got to pick it up the next day because she will be leaving the country within a few weeks. ETA: it cost $170 I think? $60 of that was the expedite fee.

It will take a few hours in NO at the canal place office. Schedule an appt.,have a itinerary within 2 weeks, take 2 passport photos, and print and fill put the forms before you go. Make your appt. Before 10am. Go upstairs and watch a movie and pick up passport at 1pm. The extra fee is 80$ if I remember correctly, I paid around 170$ but had the extra pages added then instead of later and don't remember the cost breakdown. It is an easy simple thing to do.

Thanks for all the help so far.

Couple more questions:

1. When you all keep saying "the New Orleans office," what are you referring to specifically?

2. When you presented an itinerary, was it something you just printed out or something more formal/official? I can present a printed itinerary from a website, but I'm not going to pay for the trip until I'm sure I can get this one passport (my kid's) renewed.

If you go to a passport office like the one in New Orleans then you'll need proof that you're travelling within 2 weeks (I think 2 weeks...) of the day of your appointment. If not 2 weeks it's 3- but it has to be relatively close to your appointment date.

This is what I had to do. 7 hours In that office but it got done

You have to show you ARE going

showing an itinerary for a trip you havent committed to doesnt do it.

But if you bring proof you paid for the trip...you can leave with the passport that day.

And its on Canal in New Orleans.

I made an appointment via phone. Appointment was for 2 days later. Showed up with all required paperwork. Picked up passport next day. They raped me with a $95 expedite fee.

You DO NOT need a company to do it for you if you're traveling within 2 weeks.

New Orleans passport office: 365 Canal Street

Do not show up without first setting up an appointment via their automated phone system.

I went to walgreens and got the photos taken, filled out the form at the post office, paid to have it expedited and had it within 10 days.

There is a service my wife used and we got in in a week. They just walk it though for you etc. It cost an extra 150-200 bucks but worth it

I got one the same day at the NOLA office. You have to do it in person, and pay a fee, but its very possible.
