I guarantee you copied and pasted your little verse.

Yep, but you asked me to prove Abraham had slaves, and I did. And to think you think Egyptians invented slavery.

quote:

And The Bible is the word of God. So you just picked and chose what you believe in.

Yeah, am I stating that I haven't? You on the other hand have said its is perfect, so I'll question you.

quote:

I believe in the entire Bible.

But you still eat shellfish, pork, wear multifabric clothing, and have yet to kill someone (or at least I hope) for saying the Lord's name in vain.

quote:

You will never win this argument.

Its already pretty well established I've won.

quote:

Paul was called upon by God to be who he was. His writings and teachings were directly from God.

And every pope and many preachers say the same.

Like I said, I'm not a Jew those rules do not apply to Christians.

It is perfect. I never said that I didn't believe in the teachings in every book. I believe in them, but there was a new covenant when Christ died for our sins.

Look, either the Bible is perfect, and thus you are subject to its laws and can't pick and choose which you believe it; or the Bible is flawed and you get to pick and choose what you believe in. You can't have it both ways.

No, that is absolutely flawed logic. You're a hypocrite and you're just too blind to see it.

And I seriously can't believe some people believe in Noah's ark.

Ok, if I'm such a hypocrite, if there weren't new laws and beliefs created when Christ died and rose again, then there would be no difference between Jews and Christians which there clearly are. Christians operate on the New Testament laws. Jews operate on the Old Testament.

No, the difference boils down to believing rather you believe the Messiah has come again or not.

Exactly, which is why we operate under the New Testament laws.

false COUPLE OF VERSES FROM THE OLD TESTAMENT TALKING ABOUT THE GENTILES THAT FOLLOWED THE WAYS & PEOPLE OF GOD.

Leviticus 24:22 Ye shall have one manner of law, as well for the stranger, as for one of your own country: for I am the LORD your God.

Exodus 20:10 but the seventh day is a Sabbath to Yahweh your God. You shall not do any work in it, you, nor your son, nor your daughter, your male servant, nor your female servant, nor your livestock, nor your stranger who is within your gate

Exodus 23:12 Six days thou shalt do thy work, and on the seventh day thou shalt rest: that thine ox and thine arse may rest, and the son of thy handmaid, and the stranger, may be refreshed.

OT proves that even the stranger aka gentle that followed God that dwelled with people of God.

Exodus 29:33 They shall eat those things with which atonement was made, to consecrate and sanctify them: but a stranger shall not eat of it, because they are holy

Leviticus 16:29 "It shall be a statute to you forever: in the seventh month, on the tenth day of the month, you shall afflict your souls, and shall do no manner of work, the native-born, or the stranger who lives as a foreigner among you:

Leviticus 17:12 Therefore I have said to the children of Israel, "No person among you shall eat blood, neither shall any stranger who lives as a foreigner among you eat blood."''

Leviticus 17:15 And every soul that eateth that which died of itself, or that which was torn with beasts, whether it be one of your own country, or a stranger, he shall both wash his clothes, and bathe himself in water, and be unclean until the even: then shall he be clean.

Leviticus 18:26 You therefore shall keep my statutes and my ordinances, and shall not do any of these abominations; neither the native-born, nor the stranger who lives as a foreigner among you;

Leviticus 24:16 And he that blasphemeth the name of the LORD, he shall surely be put to death, and all the congregation shall certainly stone him: as well the stranger, as he that is born in the land, when he blasphemeth the name of the Lord, shall be put to death.

Leviticus 25:6 The Sabbath of the land shall be for food for you; for yourself, for your servant, for your maid, for your hired servant, and for your stranger, who lives as a foreigner with you.

Numbers 9:14 And if a stranger shall sojourn among you, and will keep the passover unto the LORD; according to the ordinance of the passover, and according to the manner thereof, so shall he do: ye shall have one ordinance, both for the stranger, and for him that was born in the land.

**** ONE ORDINANCE*** NOT ONE FOR THE JEW, AND ONE FOR THE GENTILE
Numbers 15:15 For the assembly, there shall be one statute for you, and for the stranger who lives as a foreigner with you, a statute forever throughout your generations: as you are, so shall the foreigner be before Yahweh. )

What are Jewish teachings out of? The Old Testament. Christian belief system comes from Christ dying on the cross and creating a new covenant. Otherwise, there would be no new and Old Testament.

Can you not read? I just provided about 10 verses that showed the Jew and Gentile followed the same commandments in the OT . This is what God said in the NT about if anything is different for the Jew or Gentile

Roman 2:10-12

But glory, honour, and peace, to every man that worketh good, to the Jew first, and also to the Gentile: For there is no respect of persons with God. For as many as have sinned without law shall also perish without law: and as many as have sinned in the law shall be judged by the law;

Why do you think Pharaoh ordered to kill all the first born Israelites around the time Jesus was born? Why do you think the wise men showed up to worship Jesus? Because it was written in the OT ABOUT THE COMING OF OUR LORD AND SAVIOR. But you wouldnt know that if you start reading from the NT to Revelation. You think some guy just popped out the sky and say " Ta Daa! Im here to die for everybody sins and resurrect and bring you guys to heaven! If that was the case everybody would have been like , "who is this guy?" But they knew about it because it was written of him all throughout the OT.

Jesus was mention and preached about about all throughout the OT. They spoke about the coming of one that will sit on the throne of David. That will come to lead his people back to the father. Who cares what Jewish people and Christian people teach. Christ warned you to beware of false doctrine. The bible is proof that Christianity and Judaism is a bunch of crock.

Hebrew 10:7

7 Then said I (Jesus), Lo, I come (in the volume of the book it is written of me,) to do thy will, O God.

The volume of the book means from Genesis through Revelation. But you wouldn't know that was Christ that gave Moses the 10 commandments if you START READING FROM THE NT.

You know man, you're so right, why should I believe in something much bigger than myself. I guess I'll just go sit in my room and wait to die.

re: What's up with all these red squares with a white equal sign
You should believe the full gospel. If you beleive that thou shall not kill, bear false witness, honor thy mother and father, is only for the Jews than you dont beleive the full gospel of God. Why would god give one group of people that they will spend eternity in the lake of fire if they broke his commandments, but another race of people can pick and choose what rules out the OT they want to follow.

Actually you can. Jesus' death changed the old covenant and christians no longer live under it, because God no longer requires works of the old law to save one's soul. Jesus took care of that. Christians are bound by the new covenant. Its why were told that now all things are permissible, though not all are beneficiery.

So yes, people who believe the bible are not required to follow the Law of Moses anymore. Only those who do not accept Jesus will be judged by the old law, which of course they will not measure up to because who falls short of even one part of the law has broken all of it. Also, the ten commandments are not the same thing as the legalistic law. They are inherant moral truths. The law of Moses was a covenant, a group of things that must be done but not that had moral or immoral notions.

This is hardly groundbreaking stuff.

Then ignore the Old Testament then. It should not be valid in Biblical conversations if this is the case.

Do many Christians know the actual Bible they read today is different from the Bible 100-200 years ago?
Hell many scholars even believe chapters of the bible are missing from today's translation because they do no depict a God like how we would like.

This religion stuff shouldn't even matter. Your religion can say how they don't like homosexuality all they want. It shouldn't affect government.

Completely agree Jet. like a true engineer thinking logically.

I.personally don't agree with it but that does mean we should legislate against it. They are separate issues.

Jesus died and took away the LAW of Sacrifices. That's why you don't offer a sin offering (sacrifice animals) when u sin. Jesus was a JEW. How could claim to be Christian and follow Christ, when u are saying you no longer have to do things people in the OT & NT did. They celebrated Passover before and after the resurrection of Christ. Peter proclaimed he never ate anything unclean Before &AFTER Christ resurrected. If Christians didn't have to keep the laws of the OT then tell your paster quit preaching about do not kill, steal, false witness etc. thou shall not kill and all the other laws are laws for both Jew & gentile. The Lord doesn't show favor

Prime example of eating from the tree of good &evil. None of that is written in the bible, yet this guy herd this lie over and over that he actually thinks its true. Jesus was the one that gave the commandments to Moses in the OT. They sacrifice animals back then to teach them one will come in the future to die for their sins. So the Christians/Jews were following Christ. You really think God is going to have a different grading scale for people that don't beleive in Jesus? Christ said there is no other way to the father, but by me. Any other way, is like a crook climbing over a wall.
