Westwego is way trashier than Marrero. There are actually some nice places to live in Marrero. There aren't any in Westwego.

Very much agree. Lived in the Shreveport area recently for about a year. I'm back in south central LA now where I grew up. North LA white trash is more hillbillyish than down here.
