I have a brother-in-law who would make everyone on the political talk board look normal. He is die-hard Republican, but he is the type you don't want to have representing the party.

All of his political arguments are based on religion. As in, he thinks that what Republicans represent is what the bible says we must support and that the second coming will happen under a Democrat leader. I wish I could say I was exaggerating a little bit, but when he is around everyone avoids saying anything that is remotely political because he gets so worked up over and the more he talks about it, the shite he says gets crazier.

I heard him say to someone that for Trump to be the Republican candidate proves that God has forgiven him for his sins in the past. If I ever think about it, I will try to record him going on one of his rants because me just telling you about it doesn't do it justice.

I have a brother-in-law who is the same way. Ultra religious and conservative.

A few years ago at Thanksgiving I told him after one of his long and particularly boring rants that for that Xmas, I was going to buy him a cross so he could nail himself to it.

That was 8 years ago and we still haven't spoken or met for the holidays.

They sound like children when they call each other liars. The one thing that bothers me is when people say "Trump's not a politician, that's why I am voting for him". He is running for a political office that will require him to have to know how to "play politics" to be effective. He isn't the first person to ever run a campaign on "not a politician", but when you are running for political office, you can't say "I am not a politician".

It has more to do with that being the main reason people say they are voting for someone..

That Hillary Clinton is the most qualified individual ever to be a candidate.

I am in NO way disputing that this is foolish hyperbole, but it leads to a question.

Who do you think WAS most qualified?

Nixon? Around for a while before finally getting the job?

A VP who ran and won after years in office?

Old Bush?

Politics and views aside? Just a guy who walked into office knowing the job? May not agree with what they did, but knew they were qualified.

If my BIL is somewhere with a lot of people (like Thanksgiving, Christmas, etc) he will find someone who will sit there and listen to his bullshite, which only encourages him to say more and more crazier shite. But most of the time, he will say shite that is so insane that he will eventually hit a nerve with someone who will argue with him.

One Christmas, it was a get together with just immediate family and I was watching a basketball game and somehow he turned the fact I was watching an NBA game into something political and I just told him something like "no, I don't think that's how it works" then he started mentioning other stuff.. Saying "its just like__________. Look what happens when they do ___________" And after a few back and forth exchanges I just asked him if he honestly believes the shite he says, he went into a rank so at that point I just had to ignore him because if I kept engaging him he would have gone on and on..

how about two educated presidential candidates that want to lead our country, talking about each others hand size and how it relates to the size of their junk, in a public forum?

Mexico paying for our Berlin Wall ranks right up there.

Although maybe that would bring a Roger Waters concert to the border, which would be pretty cool.
