Manage a outdoor gear store like Bowie or Academy

Work at a boat or atv dealership

Do magic mushrooms and just start living in the woods……..doesn’t pay good but sounds nice

Trapper in the northwest territories. I should add that I'm an unfrozen trapper from 1820 with no hygiene or morals. But trapping is the future.

Park Ranger always seemed like a cool job. Especially a more remote park like Glacier or Yellowstone.

I started a lawn/landscape company in my late 40’s and pay myself in that range. If you have the experience you say, and have a great work ethic, the sky is the limit. Working for yourself is an amazing feeling once you establish your business.

One thing i would not do is use landscapers with a gasoline blower. Absolutely No way . The noise is aggravating. They blow grass where ???

A good ole cornstraw broom and bagging it for garden mulch, much quieter. I could never live in a subdivision as my neighbors would likely hire gasoline blower noisemakers.

The national forest service which is under the USDA has tons of civilian woodsman jobs. I’ve got a friend that’s been with them here in the Sam Houston National Forest for 5 years or so. They do a lot of timber clearing and forestry maintenance type stuff. He’s not educated beyond HS. I believe LA has some federally designated lands.

Here is the link to the forest service career page. My friend does some firefighting stuff and has been deployed out west to fight wildfires.

Until you're transferred from the peaceful moose and grizzly bears to Jean Lafitte National Park and get assigned to the French Quarter visitor center

Idk if you'll get the pay you want but check with LDWF. Maybe take the civil servant test preemptively.

Forestry contractor, as in herbicide/site prep/ tree planting contractor. Hbla a little Spanish would be a plus; Logging contractor if you can work on and operate heavy equipment; log truck driver; forestry technician like painting lines and cruising/marking timber are out there but hard to get in the private sector. If you prove dependable and not a shite head you could probably work anywhere. Fk working for the government.
