Park ranger requires a degree. And pays less than 50k

I know a guy who went to college for four years and majored in whatever degree it is you need to be a park ranger and/or (I think) game warden. He never worked a day in either field. The last I knew of him he worked at US Steel in Fairfield until he got laid off. Not sure what he's doing now. Last I heard of him he and his wife had a small junk store but that closed down before COVID.

Not necessarily working with wildlife or in the woods all the time, but soil conservation technicians with NRCS make good money and spend most of their time outside.

If you have green jeans poaching can be a solid lifestyle.

You might want to look into forestry or conservation type stuff. You might also like a job on a ranch or a farm. Also, hunting or fishing guide.

Game warden or park ranger.

I was a park ranger for a few years at a big national park. It was great working outdoors. Pay was not great but I enjoyed most days.

A job with a company like Osmose as something like a utility pole inspector will put you outside and in the woods a lot, would also get to travel if that's your thing.

I would learn to fly the professional level drones that engineers and land surveyors use. Gets you outside, decent pay.

You can start to learn autocad and work your way inside as you get older.
