I can vouch that Rocket absolutely went off the racial deep end on the Poli Board. Dude was fricking insane. He would turn anything and everything he posted about into a race based argument.
Now, whether he was trolling or really believed the shite he was spewing, I don't know...

I thought he was trolling at first but after a while I figured out he was for real. You could say "the weather was nice" and he'd somehow turn that to you hating black folks.
He always tried to make light of my saying Will Muschamp wasn't a slam dunk hire. It bothered him for some reason.

When I first started reading this site in like 2006 or so, he would usually just post links and short blurbs. It was quite the personality change later on for sure. Sorry to hear that he passed.

He was the last person on TD who could speak openly about race. Based on his last few hundred posts I would guess he was banned though, not dead.

BUT Rocket treated this as what it is... A FORUM to express your opinion.. I had plenty of debates with him concerning Miles and Saban, He would play cut-throat to the Max... but it was all about My opinion vs. His.... As far as race goes. I never go to the poli board[for good reason]...

Rocket was HUGE when I first got on this board in 2006. He would debate well and back things up. I tussled with him a few times and generally enjoyed it.
I remember him with the Saban stuff and then the March for Miles in 2007.
I honestly do not remember his racist stuff, but then again, I was mostly posting on Tiger Rant back then before engaging with the PoliBoard a couple of years later.
My first couple of years here, I just assumed the PoliBoard was only about local Louisiana politics. I actually never went over there.
I remember him with the Saban stuff and then the March for Miles in 2007.
