cut it up most likely.
I would turn off my card if I lost it for more than a few minutes.
Who knows if it's been compromised.
Spending a dollar on it is theft, and I think thieves should have fingers or hands chopped off.

Probably just call the credit card company using the number on the back. Of course they'd probably just tell you to destroy it anyway.

This happened to me when I cleaned out a well worn wallet before a trip, went to bank to pick up some cash from a teller instead of using ATM.
Dropped 3 Credit Cards without realizing they had dropped out of well worn pocket in wallet. Got a phone call from my Credit Union, someone recognized the Credit Union Credit Cards and brought all 3 to the Credit Union.
Credit Union returned all 3 to me, I bought a new wallet for the trip. Now it takes an Act of Congress - oh that is right they don't act - anyway it is difficult to get them out now and use them but they are all secure
Person who found them did not leave their name or contact info, just an Honest Person doing a Good Deed

1. Call the number on the back of the card.
2. Tell them you've found C.F. Frost's card and it should be cancelled.
3. Destroy the card.
C.F. Frost's bank will take care of the rest.
This is the correct answer.

Says the guy from freaking Georgia who has state law on the books dealing with:
1) the floor of a porno store must be smooth and non absorbent
2) Donkeys may not be kept in bathtubs.
3) All sex toys are banned.
4) You cannot live on a boat for more than 30 days during the calendar year, even if just passing through the state

I really wish they would make it a separate site where you had to sign up for both. I think that would keep most of the dumbasses there.

While there are plenty of dumb fricks on the secr the OT has its fair share. Probably more.

I'd probably give it to the cashier, unless I thought they looked shifty.
If I didn't give it to the cashier, I'd shred it.

I think if an owner of a credit card cannot handle the responsibility, like in this case, they should be penalized. There are people who can't get credit cards that are very responsible people, it's just that getting started with credit is a big step in and of itself.
Wow, you have your judgmental Judy pants on today, eh?
