What would happen if we had Martial Law in Heavy Crime Cities

I think the implementation of a martial law system in cities with high crime rates (like New Orleans) could prove to be beneficial in long term city safety.

Give the SWAT team and other police forces full control for enforcement. That means let them use lethal force whenever necessary. Make them wear body cameras in order to monitor their actions.

Let law enforcement use military grade equipment. I think every police in a major city should have an automatic weapon and some form of bullet resistant vest. (I'm not sure if this is already done, but it should be)

Violent crime should result in the execution of the offender no questions asked. This should be done regardless of race and/or religious affiliation. I am not saying to kill for any reason, but I think should be dealt with more harshly in bad neighbourhoods (like a war zone)

I understand that using military force can be seen as overkill. However, I personally would not mind if military forces were used. We need to trust our police and if that means that a lot of people have to die then so be it.
