That's what I'm saying. It's doable for someone who isn't damaged or trying to escape a bad life. Meth might be harder resist than coke, though.

If I did it, I would do it out in the open and document everything, before, during and after. I think it would be interesting, but under no circumstances could I ever do it again.

Mother hires me to represent her daughter on a meth possession charge. Daughter was a pretty girl, but no more. I advise the mother not to bail her daughter out, because daughter is likely to go right back on meth. Mother bails her out. On her arraignment day, she's not in court. Later, a local detective signals me to come over. "I just arrested your client - she was wandering around the project high as hell."

We both just shook our heads.

Meth is so ugly. You can lose your job, family, money, and life.

A friend of mine did it once and he said it was really fun for the first couple hours but he hated not being able to go to sleep for almost 30 hours after plus he said after the high wore off he had a very strong urge to get that high back and bc he could not sleep it for worse until he got some sleep.

He said it was crazy to feel that strong of an urge to do it again even though he knew he should not

He never touched it again.

That may be the all-time stupid post on the OT. There is no telling what chemicals they put in the meth. You want to inhale or inject those into your body? Seriously, who the frick knows what inhaling those chemicals, even once, will do to you body over the long run.

Good friend of mine is a physician who works with meth addicts. He has some horrific stories. Even those who don't do it long can sustain long term health effects.

Chinoyang is just being dramatic, it is very safe to try meth as long as you remember not to do it again. Study after study shows this.

You can do some home chemistry to remove the contaminants and get a pure end product.

That might not be realistic for your typical methhead but if you were just wanting to try it once and got a sample off of the street you could spend the time and money to purify it.

It is possible to use it as a tool like binge studying on Adderol but the risk is sky high. You might get by using once or twice without bringing meth culture into your life but the up for anything party girls will eventually find you.

I had a close relation that went to treatment for alcoholism. I went through the family training that the treatment center provided. It was interesting to learn the science behind addiction. Think of food. If you were literally starving to death, getting some food would become your sole focus until you got some. Everything else - your job, your normal responsibilities, relationships with friends and family - would be secondary, because your body would drive you to find something to eat before you died. Addiction is more or less the same thing. There are certain substances that activate the same sensors in your body as food or sex, only they activate them much, much more powerfully. Your body receives this stimulation and decides that whatever caused it must be even more important than food or sex, because the amount of stimulation produced is so much higher. Hence the addict's overwhelming need for whatever it is he's addicted to. His body thinks it is super-starving for the stuff.

The scary thing is that how your body reacts to certain substances varies from person to person. Some people can use substances considered addictive and never develop an addiction. But for the wrong person, even one use can be enough to make your body say, "Woah, shite! This is awesome! I MUST HAVE MORE." For a known highly addictive substance such as meth, the risk of that happening is obviously higher.

Be careful, is what I'm saying. I wouldn't do it. You're risking your entire life against a few hours of feeling high.

I know a girl and this is her exact story. The really sad thing is that I seriously doubt we're talking about the same person. Just typical trashy meth head behavior.

#1: make sure you take a "before" pic
#2: do it and quit talking about it
#3: take an "after" pic so we here at the
board can boost your self-esteem and
tell you what a great decision you
made.

I think, after asking a question like this, that you should stay away from this kid. You're obviously too unstable, impulsive, and immature to help him.

Look up the documentary called getting high on your own supply. The guy is doing a documentary on this lady who is addicted to heroin I believe. He wanted to try it to see what she was feeling and he ends up getting addicted. You'll never do drugs after you see it

My first drug was meth. Smoked. I am a highly addictive personality, but I got past recreational drugs. There were a few years, in my late 20's, where we rolled every weekend. Funny thing is, I never sought drugs out. Maybe the legality was the issue.

Meth is a hell of a drug, but never craved it. Snorting Vyvanse was just as good for me, back then.

If the OP has an addictive personality, stay far away.

If you can try it once, enjoy it, and move on, go for it. It's an enjoyable high, just be prepared to not sleep.
