What would happen if I did Meth one time?

I'm helping out a kid who's in rehab and trying hard to turn his life around. I ask him about Meth and tells me how awesome it is, but also all the bad things that come along with continued use.
I'm thinking, why don't people just do it once? I'm all for experiencing almost anything once. Is meth so amazing that doing it once for a healthy, stable adult is impossible? Of course the junkie says it's impossible, but what about the upstanding members of the OT?

It depends on the kind of person you are. If you enjoy speeding (taking Adderall, drink lots of coffee, ever done and liked coke) you may enjoy the stable yet powerful effect of being awake and overly alert.
If you like your sleep and don't like feeling wired up, you could probably try it once and refrain from further use.

They get out of rehab or jail, and they go right back at it.
