You're the one saying they all need to quit if they don't like it. I would expect my 9 year old niece to suggest that solution.

Why does this one man's opinion matter to anyone? Lots of people agree with him or feel the same about a different race. I don't agree or condone it, but his opinion means jack shite to me. He is a private citizen who happens to own a well known franchise. People can "vote with their wallet" by boycotting games or merchandise, but as a person not living in his city who does not care about his team, I could not care less about this one man's opinion. If this man's opinion ruins your day and you are not a fan of his team, then you need to get

You would think this would be obvious, but ohhhhh nooooo. Little Jimmy in Bumfrick, Iowa has a score to settle with Old Senile Sterling and he will not rest until the feelings of every black man have been avenged.

When did I say that? Although I agree with that. If your 9 yr old niece can form that opinion, maybe you should listen.

Of course he fricking does, just like the players and coaches do. The are all members of the NBA and all of their actions effect the image and brand of the league.

OK, good for you, but you do realize that there are millions of people who do care about the team that don't want a racist owner running the show?

I dont understand how no one seems to get that this was a conversation between he and his mistress behind closed doors and that he was unaware of being recorded at the time. Im sure if he was holding a press conference he would take into consideration that...

As a matter of fact, the racist a-hole has a serious defamation lawsuit that he can get the ball rolling on right now.

The players are suffering? The media is suffering? All because this man is an idiot racist? I feel so sorry for those players who are suffering. Im sure their feelings are hurt.

Well you said the players could quit and give up their millions of dollars if they didn't want to play for a racist, so yeah, that solution seems a little unfair to me.

So does that mean we should discount every time a player gets arrested? They weren't trying to broadcast it to the world, they just got caught.

A POS is a POS regardless of whether or not they are a POS behind closed doors or out in public.

And we all know now, so it doesn't matter where or when he said it.

No I did not. You assumed I said that. Just like I assumed that it was common frickin sense that when given the choice to play basketball for a racist owner (which no one really does anyway. No one plays for a damn owner) or

, they would obviously choose to play ball and swallow their pride. That's the way it works and it's the way of the world. The company I work for has an extremely religious owner. Well guess what, I find that offensive to me, but do I let it get my flustered? Am I contemplating leaving my job and putting my family and mortgage at risk? Hell fricking no because I am sane and I just say "meh", like the players and anyone else that has a problem with Sterling should do. Then again, this is the pussification of America as we know and people's feelings are always taken into consideration now, for better or for worse.

Typically when a player gets arrested, he's BREAKING THE frickING LAW.

Wait, so you've spent this entire thread saying its stupid to be offended by a racist owner when you're offended by your religious boss?

Breaking the law and being racist aren't exactly the same thing.

To me it matters. If he has to suffer for private views that were forced into public without his knowledge, let's hear everyone else's private views and judge them too.

Does he demand his boss to resign because of the views?

I dont have a religious boss, I have a religious owner. Im sorry if you let it go over your head but I was clearly making a point that it's ok to let things go and let them slide off your back. The very fact that I could give two shits about how the owner of my company feels about religion is the point Im trying to make. The general public, such as yourself, are "outraged" that more hasnt been done to Sterling for being a racist idiot. Im telling you, let it the frick go.

Fair enough, I guess I should have used a different example.

the point was, that when you're rich and famous, you are held to higher standards than normal people. If Sterling were a small business owner, no one would give a shite about what he said. But the NBA has a brand and image to uphold.

I am not outraged in the slightest. I can simply see why people want him gone.

Well, then let's see what everyone involved with the NBA privately thinks and judge all of them.

Unfortunately that doesn't matter

What does matter is that the cat got out of the bag with Sterling and he will face the consequences for it.
