What was going on at the Cortana Amazon warehouse today?

I passed by earlier on my way home and there were cars lined up from the Florida Blvd side of the building snaking all the way around back between the Cortana Walmart and Lowe’s. Looked to have a few tents setup at the beginning of the line where everyone was trying to get to

Amazon is definitely changing some of its shipping times. I ordered something yesterday (Sunday), and it actually was able to delivered on Monday.
I guess once BTR is up and running, BTR wharehoused goods could be shipped in a day to most of Louisiana. Same day if you live in a capital area parish.
On Saturday, I had to pick something up in Harahan off of Dickory Avenue near the Coca Cola wharehouse and that was near the New Orleans Amazon Delivery station. I saw countless vans lined up loading up and getting ready to head out for their deliveries.

Not sure what surprises me more, the lack of Amazon warehouses/fulfillment centers in Louisiana, or the excitement from locals that these facilities opening in their area are a big coup.
