Not sure, let's run down the list:

Dumb and inexperienced - Don't like this kind. Pretty much sold my current truck to myself the salesPEOPLE were so dumb. Showed them what the invoice price was on the truck, what plan I qualified for, and what rebates I qualified for from the list, then told them what their final offer would be, and I accepted.

Lazy and Dumb - Not this kind either. Stopped by to look at a new F150 after work one day. Was asked if I'd be buying that day, and was refused a test drive when I said no. Spat out abstract numbers for horsepower and torque and weight and gas mileage, etc.. All incorrect.

Insulting and angry - Not this kind either. Test drove a few trucks at a dealership a few years ago. When the sales person figured out that I wasn't paying sticker he was offended and became insulting toward me when I offered a price. (I bought a truck at a different dealership a week later for even less).

The guy at Greg Leblanc Nissan in Houma - This kind. Shopping for a new car for my better half a few months ago and these people were great to work with. The salesman gave us our space but was there to help us when needed, which is hard to do without making it awkward. He could tell we were knowledgeable about the vehicle and didn't try to push features down our throat. He was a pleasure to work with and was more concerned with showing us a nice car and making sure the deal worked for us than selling us a car.

I like a salesperson who knows at least as much about the vehicle as much as I do. sadly, that doesn't happen very often

And I've never known a dealership that will negotiate online on a car that's not on their lot. That's just a waste of time.

Bought my last 2 vehicles that way

You seem like a good guy. I wish you well.

As a general rule, the cheaper the car the more BS you have to deal with.

If I walk on a lot, I look for the oldest guy there. They are usually better to deal with.

If 2 vehicles are very similar (example: Camry and Accord), price is identical, features are identical, what would be the next deciding factor to purchase a vehicle?

A good service department. By "good" I mean: not excessive waits (or giving loaner vehicles for longer repairs) and "fix it right the first time."

Also, would you rather not deal with a salesperson and jump straight to negotiation with a sales manager while gathering your knowledge online or would you rather a salesperson show you the features and answer questions as long as you get 'your' fair price?

Being in sales, I appreciate a good salesmen. If you are selling me a vehicle you better be able to show me how to work the bells and whistles.

Also, FOLLOW UP with customers you give a quote to. That really goes a long ways.

There is a good chance he ends up selling at least one more car because of this thread, I doubt Frogger would care.

I don't like any car salesmen or dealerships period. We should be able to order up a car on the internet direct from the factory and have it arrive at our door within two weeks - priced according to options. No mark up for dealers or salesmen commissions. Pass the savings to the customer.

But no - we have to with your bs.

I don't want an electric car. I need a 6.2L V8 just so I can piss off the global warming loons.

In 2015 I don't understand why we can't do this (Tesla excluded).

I did it all on the phone the last time. Showed up to sign the papers and drive away. In and out in a half hour with the price I wanted.

one that leaves me alone while I look, and gives me what I want. And if I want to leave, don't keep me in the fricking office begging for a deal. Let me fricking go. If I find something better i won't be back. If I don't then I will be back. Back the frick off me basically.

So you want to buy a car that you have never driven or seen in person? Who do you expect to take you on this test drive and show you the feature/options you paid for?
