No way I would spend that time to get rid of a feral cat that died in my yard. i'd toss it in the woods or if you're in a subdivision bag it and put it in the trash.

Place in Mother in law's oven. Birch doesn't cook anyways...so let it stink up her house.

Didn't Huckleberry Finn and Tom Sawyer have something to say about this?

Maybe if I go pour BBQ sauce or something on the body to entice a dog to drag it off for me...

You're afraid of looking like a weirdo picking up a dead cat with a shovel, but not worried about looking weird pouring BBQ sauce on it?

I'm still trying to figure out how BBQ sauce is going to attract a dog to eat it...like dogs won't eat meat unless it's covered with sweet, tomatoey sauce?

Now pouring chicken stock or fresh meat juice something on it might attract another animal... :dunno :

Tie it up in a tree overhanging a pond. 4-5 days later go fish under the carcass with some meal worms or maggots. Profit.

Leave it alone, just ask Ted Nugent. Let Mother Nature do her thing with/for it.

thank you. people don't realize the value of cats. even my chubby indoor-outdoor cat puts down a good amount of rats and mice.

Not a bad idea. They can check it for a microchip.
