No way I would spend that time to get rid of a feral cat that died in my yard. 
i'd toss it in the woods or if you're in a subdivision bag it and put it in the trash.

Tie it up in a tree overhanging a pond. 4-5 days later go fish under the carcass with some meal worms or maggots. Profit.
