Bring back a bottle or three of Stranahan's Colorado Whiskey.

16th street. There are side streets with really good restaurants. Go on a Friday or Saturday night a lot of women most from west coast Cally girls. It's a party down there!

I am going there myself for work. We usually go every year and love it so we actually bought a second home in Golden off HWY 93. Golden is a nice place to visit for a half a day. The Coors tour is free and takes about 30 minutes. Elways in Cherry Creek is a nice place for dinner. Avoid the Fort for dinner; it sux balls and is an over priced clip joint for idiots that want to eat something gamey. Downtown Denver is great; the 16th street outdoor mall is cool. Mount Evans is one of my favorite places as you can drive all the way up to the 16,000ft peak and it's one of the more scenic areas. Unfortunately, the last five miles of the road will already be closed due to snow but I would still go and see if you can at least make it to Echo lake.

i mean its good, but its not better than what you get in the south. Biscuits at least. They have a great selection of draft beer, and the pizza is legit.
I just wouldn't see the point.

Does that make it any less worth seeing to a visitor? Seriously. It's still a cool place to visit with some nice front range scenery.

Did I say that?
Just pointing out an error that an easy Internet search would have otherwise avoided.
I know.

Just got back from Denver and the mountains yesterday. Loved Larimer and also walking around Central Station. Went to Green Russell (speakeasy) and had some great drinks.

The Atomic Cowboy is actually a bar with two restaurants/food styles served at different times of the day. The Denver Biscuit company is kind of home cooking breakfast/lunch, and Fat Sully's Pizza is evening. I guess the bar is anytime.

If you want to try micro-breweries, I would pick one where Jessie's Smokin NOLA food truck is serving food. Jessie is a NOLA/Katrina transplant (Gentilly) and the food is as authentic New Orleans cooking as you can get. Why go all the way to Denver for New Orleans cooking? I can't answer that but I can say my family is in town and we are eating at the Lone Tree Tavern tonight. They seem to park there every Friday. It's a fricking 5 star food truck. From his schedule they are in a different location almost every day. Every Lousisana transplant I've talked to likes Jessies' Smokin Nola, Nono's, and The Lost Cajun (closest is in Frisco).
Jessie's Smokin NOLA
The History Museum, Science Museum, Aquarium are good. I wouldn't bother with the Zoo. Do a search for Colorado Festivals. As example, tomorrow is the Chili and Salsa Festival in Centennial. There is usually some event somewhere if you search.
There's a restaurant in Castle Rock called the Stone Church that's really nice. It is (or was) a chef from one of Emerill's restaurants. It isn't New Orleans style but it is definitelty fine cuisine. He uses a lot of different southwestern chiles for sauces and dips.
