I'm considering pushing it back thought because she's awake between 5:45 and 6 most mornings. I'd like her to sleep until at least 6:30.

FYI, pushing her bed time back wont do shite.... it will only make her more cranky.

Kids in bed by 7:30 (4 and 2). Up at 6 on the DOT

And all I did was explain to you that it may not be a "guilty conscience" that made people disagree with you.

Sigh. Again, that was a joke. I try not to over use emotes but I felt the was a good indication that I wasn't being serious.

Just by your posts in here I can tell you're the type that thinks your way of parenting is the only correct way. Congrats on being that guy.

I stand by the way we do things, but I know every kid is different and, no, not everything works down the board. There are just certain things we have determined that are best for our kids, and that's what we'll do, regardless of if people feel we're being "uptight", which they do. I'll still maintain that more sleep is better than less for growing kids, but regardless of what you've taken away from a few posts, we're not judgemental towards anyone about what they choose to do.

That's how it is for us. Like when we go to Disney, we'll have some late nights, and we are always foolishly optimistic that they'll sleep in, but nope, not ever Then we're dealing with the aftermath for a while.

There was no emoticon in the post. Why is it so hard for you to just own that you looked like an a-hole?

I had an NCO that could sleep standing up. He didn't need a wall. The corner of a bleacher, pretty much anything the size of a soda can or bigger that was anchored firmly into the ground.

I lost track of him, but he was a smart kid - I think he might make general.

It's the one I quoted and you brought up.

I've already cleared the air with the "bad parent" comment, but you can keep dwelling on it.

As a kid my parents let me go to bed whenever. It took a few late nights and early mornings to teach me it was in my best interest to go to bed early.

Hey Ace. I'm sorry. I don't really think you're a bad parent.

Hope we can move on.

9 and 7 yr old, they're in bed by 8 and it's lights out at 8:30. We try to get them headed to the bed at 7:45.
