Some people may say political differences should not be a reason to live or not live in a state but it's more than that- sure they have great landmarks and scenery, which is great because taking in the sights is free and you won't have a great deal of money left to spend on other entertainment once their taxes have ravaged your check. I simply would not be able to live in a state where nearly 75% of the population consists of liberal sheep.

You do know that Vermont is among the top states in the country for education? Let me guess...they are all liberal 'sheep?'

I've lived in a few different places.

Because of Chicago, I won't put Illinois on my list. I know some have mixed feelings about it, but there is so much to do and I love the area I currently live in.

Because of Madison, I won't put Wisconsin on my list. If I moved back, that is the only city I would move to. It's a capital city situated on an isthmus between two lakes.

Because of Minneapolis, I won't put Minnesota on my list. Weather sucks November through February (and even into March), but it is one of the cleanest cities I've ever been to and there is ample amount to do.

Because of Burlington and its setting (+ the beer), I won't put Vermont on my list.

Because of Tempe/Scottsdale, I won't put Arizona on my list. I really like the proximity of everything in the Phoenix Metropolitan Area.

I've been to almost every state, but the aforementioned four places are the only states I've lived and I love(d) them all.

I don't think I would like to live in Mississippi, Alabama, or Louisiana when it comes to the Southeast.

In the Northeast, I wouldn't like to live in Maine.

In the Mid-Atlantic region, you can take West Virginia out of the equation for me. Driving from Pittsburgh International Airport into West Virginia towards Morgantown was pretty depressing.

In the midwest, I don't think I would want to live in either of the Dakotas, Nebraska, or Iowa.

In the Southwest, I don't think I could see myself living in Nevada or New Mexico.

In the Northwest, I wouldn't like to live in Wyoming.

It's a nice place to visit, but you're literally trapped on an island and cannot go anywhere. I did some time there in the Navy and could not wait to get out of there. Not to mention that the "native Hawaiians" are some of the nastiest people you'll ever come across, and they do not like haoles.
