There are threads about paper straws, beds with bedbugs, and someone who isn't comfortable around Hispanics on the first page. You think these people have pet insurance?

despite what most people who post on TD think, it very much is a specific slice of demographic and actually doesnt represent most peoples thoughts on most issues.

I swear it's $400 every time we walk in the door at the vet.

Damned if I would walk in it the second time. They're dogs and cats, they ain't folks.

I know an old boy who spent almost $10K medivacing a dog out of the Caribbean because they damned thing jumped out a truck window and broke its leg. That dog would have healed just fine albeit with a limp...but instead that moron spent $10K getting it to Miami and then a couple of thousand getting its leg fixed...and the damned thing still licked its arse and, wouldn't you know it, walk with a limp. Folks have lost their minds with their damned pets....a dog no more wants to be in Home Depot than any sane person does...but I ain't been to one in years where there wasn't 3 or 4 dogs being drug through the damned place.

Owning a pet isn’t cheap

Owning a pet is cheap. Being a fool with some expendable cash has NEVER been cheap. Folks have owned pets for a long time, vets are what, a couple of hundred years old for small animals, if that??? Dogas and cats ain't folks....but folks sure act like they are...

But yet the doctors, who cant verbally communicate with their patients, use the same medical equipment, mostly the same medications, treatments, etc.

Pet insurance is a scam and as long as fools buy it it will drive up the cost of vet care. Quit treating you pets like people.

Thankfully he didn’t need surgery. It was going to be another $3500. They tell you before hand because you have to sign to saying you’re responsible for all cost

my wife was walking and my dog jumped in front her and grabbed a snake. My wife didn’t see it but he did Without hesitation he grabbed it and he was bit but my wife wasn’t. Same dog jumped on a stray for growling at my grandson. I like that dog more than most people. He’s loyal to no end. If I can save him I will

Healthy Paws has always had good reviews and I know people who’ve used it and liked. I used for a while, but rates kept going up.

Trupanion is one that pays vet direct after the deductible and co-pay is met. But for the direct pay option, the vet has to have a specialized program, so you’d have to ask. Otherwise it’s pay and submit for reimbursement.

Because there is no way in fricking he’ll vet medicine should cost what it does. I was in it. I know. You don’t need all the bullshite they’re selling……and now their answer……”don’t worry, there’s insurance now.” You know, because that fixed human medicine. You don’t need help paying for it, they to quit running up vet bills with bullshite charges.
