To be fair. I know of two wealthy people that use a paper clip like that one as their primary wallet. I guess once you're already there you're not trying to impress anyone anymore.

Same. Have had mine going on two years and love it. No fraying, stretching of the leather till it's paper thin, or anything like I've had with wallets in the past.

I went a good 10 years using eel skin tri folds from the french market. Whoever was supplying those vendors must've ran out of the smaller ones so now just a classic leather tri fold.

Spending a lot on a wallet seems a waste to me. Not like a watch or shoes, etc.

I know you specifically asked about a leather wallet, but if you'd consider it I recently got one of these stainless steel wallets. It's still pretty new so it's a little stiff and I don't know how well it "breaks in", but it is a lot thinner than a typical leather wallet and has been pretty comfortable so far. Bonus: it blocks RFID
