I was in school in BR at LSU then went to post-grad school in NOLA. I got married when I went to NOLA and couldn't envision raising a family in LA. I'm so glad I left. Louisiana is no place to raise a family unless you have established roots there. New blood will be hard to find with the out of state tuition barriers to attending LSU. Louisiana is stagnant.

That high number is due to Alaska Natives.

It's a real big, cultural issue with the Native villages especially for elders.

The Natives also have problems with alcohol and heroin.

The $ + moving fatigue.

I'm waiting on the St. George issue to be finalized one way or the other before making a big change.

Alaska natives. Life in some of those villages is depressing. They're literally trapped between two cultures.

Left in May of 2016 for work, and genuinely enjoy Houston. If not for Family in BR I wouldn't remotely consider moving back.

Probably will with the tight family we have but it will be hard. Would much rather move to St George. The schools not being a dumpster fire here in Houston is a massive perk. And seeing tax dollars accomplish something... And road construction that finishes...

If I could I would love to live in Orlando, Florida

I've lived here in Orlando since '98 and would come back to BR in a heartbeat. You really don't want to live in Orlando.......traffic, tourists and the Mouse make it terrible.

Not to mention the food is not good.

Moved away in 2006. I've lived all over the world throughout the military, college, and working.

We just had our first son, but moved back here for family support because Austin, Texas was far away from both of our families.

I can't wait until my son is old enough to leave this shithole, corrupt state again.

You really think BR is the same or better than it was in 98?

Downtown is better
More entertainment options
More restaurants and festivals
More walkable places.
