You laugh, but there are plenty people out there working for companies that make you buy them out of a machine. Or like my last job, have a stocked fridge and it is only for guests or the CEO.

Most plants are like that. Our vending guy just went up to $.75 for drinks and $1 for chips. frick that guy. He went up years ago and blamed fuel costs. What excuse you got now bitch(wish he lurked)? I'm butthurt and don't even buy shite from the machine.

Not a good thing for those inclined to partake such as yourself apparently.

I don't have any of that but there's a hosepipe out back they let me drink out of whenever I want so I guess it's not that bad.

Legit employee dining room, drink with my customers, get to go to some pretty cool events, shows, concerts with customers.

Flip side have to deal with people that lose money daily.

damn, I missed the boat. Everyone getting free health ins. I work from home 70% of the time except when out in the field with reps, which is great. I make my schedule. I get the usual cell, laptop, iPad, and expense account..blah, it's not health ins. Fricking healthcare cost about 600.00/mo for the family.

I work for a small engineering firm. I get the obvious, health insurance and 401K (matched 2%). We also get free soda, but I don't drink soda that much anymore. The bosses do take us out for lunch every now and then for different reasons; starting a new big project, hitting a milestone in a project, finalizing a divorce (the boss' wife worked for the company and he almost had to change the name of the company ), ect. We also have company socials. The last one we went bowling. I just started in January, but I hear we get end of the year bonuses as well. I think the biggest perk for me is that they will pay or help pay for me to take the Professional Engineering Exam. The cost of the study material and the exam itself is few thousand dollars. The exam is also 8 hours long and I do not want to take it more than once.

8-10 weeks off a year. Paid holidays. Long lunches. Free cell phone chargers.

But the most important perk: I hear things.
