A friend of mine is visiting from California, and his kids are always bored to tears out at his mom's house is Abbeville when they come here.

Are there any fun activities in Lafayette for kids in that age group?

Would they take a tour of Avery Island or something cultural? Or are you looking for some place to dump them off for the day?

Yes. Drive to Baton Rouge where there are some fun activities.. Go to New Orleans where there are more activities.

They go to Red's every time they're here, and their gradmother has a great fishing pond at the house. I was thinking more of a place where a lot of kids go that they could hang out with and do some fun activity.

The jumpzone thing sounds interesting.

1. Insist on calling it the University of Louisiana

2. Feel resentful toward LSU

3. Call Baton Rouge a shithole

I don't think I was ever board at 14. If I was I'd go shoot free throws for a few hours.

14 is probably a little old for that.
