What is the worst purchase you ever made?

I bought into the notion of social justice in America. Then I learned that non-profit foundations were used as a means of getting rich. Also SJWs really perverted my view of social justice by turning it into a terrorist strategy. I lost my sense of social justice finally when the Supreme Court, AG, and FBI recently whored themselves out to the political process.

I once purchased a World's Finest Chocolate bar to support the fundraiser of the week at work. It wasn't even close to what was advertised, so I returned the uneaten portion, retrieved the dollar from the envelope, and placed two quarters in the envelope. Well my taxes provide for able-bodied individuals to continue sitting on their asses and drinking malt-liquor all day, thus having time to commit violent crime and sell drugs, which leads to the overflow of prisons and allow for "early release" programs; Which furthers our societal debt and downfall...so i'd have to go with that.

Buying a brand new car. Absolutely the worst purchase I ever made. I just buy used cars in good shape from private owners now. New Cars are such a poor investment. By the time you finish paying them off, its almost time to buy a new one.

Time Life 80's cd. Every song on the tv ad was awesome so I figured they would all be one cd.
What I didn't realize was that only one good song was on each cd and you had to buy the whole damn set to get all the good songs.

Your pops was right. Betamax was far superior in quality to VHS. However, the film industry picked VHS and the battle was quickly over.
Beta was an industry standard in professional video until the early 2000s when DV and HD replaced it.
Still, technically a bad purchase by your pops but his mind was in the right place at least.
