My dad’s bubbleback Rolex he got in the Pacific Theater* during WWII.

A Mosin-Nagant rifle that was manufactured by Remington Arms meant for the Russian army during WWI. My dad bought it for $30.00 at a farm auction in Illinois in 1980, and I inherited it. The second coolest things I own are my dad's Marine Corps leggings he wore in Korea during 1950-51.

M1 Garand that fired its last shot in WW2

Cool. I'd love to own an authentic M1 Garand one day. My dad swore by this rifle and said he never once saw one jam, even in the bitterly cold conditions in Korea during the war.

Really? It’d be from the 1500s or earlier

That’s what we think. It’s pretty sweet

I’m also afraid that once we got it appraised we would find out that it’s not as old as we think. It’s been handed down to the first born son in each generation of my family. Even if we find out it’s not as old as we think, there’s no denying that it’s really old just looking at it.

It’s hard to believe it’s actually that old. I think the few known copies from that long ago are in museums or private collections, otherwise they’d probably have disintegrated.

But who knows. Def get it checked out!

Not too hard to get. I have one from 1942. Cost less than 800 out the door.

I have a piece of greenish radioactive glass formed from the sand in the New Mexican desert from the world’s first full nuclear detonation.
